YONEX PERCEPT

Yonex has taken a bold step in the world of tennis with its latest release, the Percept family of rackets. These innovative rackets are designed to give players unparalleled control over their shots, making them a game-changer for enthusiasts and professionals alike. If you happened to catch Frances Tiafoe's recent matches in Washington, DC, you might have noticed something different about his game. While his passion and intensity remained the same, he was wielding a new instrument, the Yonex Percept, characterised by its striking cool mint green frame.

In Yonex's racket lineup, the Percept stands out for its focus on precision and feel. It replaces the VCORE Pro and is clearly distinguished from the VCORE series, showcasing its design emphasis on top-notch control, connected feedback, and versatility across all court types.

The Percept has undergone significant updates to enhance its playability when compared to its predecessor, the VCORE Pro. These updates include:

  1. Servo Filter: This transparent film, placed between the graphite, enhances flexibility and dampens unwanted vibrations, replacing the Vibration Dampening Mesh (VDM) in the handle of the previous model.

  2. FlexCon System: Located in the tapered and elongated box beam shaft, this system combines 2G-Namd Flex Force from the outgoing version and the newly created Servo Filter. This combination increases flexibility at contact, resulting in extended ball pocketing and improved control.

  3. Stiffer Racket Face Design: The amount of graphite in the face of the frame has been increased to provide more backbone. This modification bolsters stability at contact for a more consistent shot trajectory.

The Percept family includes a variety of models, each tailored to cater to specific player needs. Yonex players like Hubert Hurkacz, Stan Wawrinka, and Dayana Yastremska are set to showcase these rackets on the court.
